Project

Redesign + Build Bonica’s Drupal - based online catalog website from the ground up. Website needs to be designed for an easier solution for "navigation/searching" for an e-shop catalog of over 1000 products used by their district resellers.

Website Analysis
+ Client Goals

  • Website was not mobile responsive.
  • None existent SEO tactics.
  • Primary Audience - Sales Representatives
    • Scenario: website use consists of sales reps calling the company for catalog inquiries. A bonica account manager + sales rep would simultaneously search products on the phone.
    • Bonica account manager often offers an SKU for a sales rep to search on the website to review product and pricing.
  • No Online Purchasing, catalog website only.

Website Production

  • Built an online catalog using the WooCommerce system
  • No online purchasing (no payment gateway). Instead, a wishlist system with that could be emailed to Bonica was implemented
  • Mobile Responsive mindful, any custom styling had to accounted for a mobile view
  • Integrated two new search options, an “Advanced Search” for users to filter products by price, categories, attributes for a streamlined experience
  • Suggested a new “Instant Search” 3rd party tool that was integrated into the site. As the service implies, searches are instantaneous. More streamlined experience.
  • For speed, client was moved from an older GoDaddy shared host to a WordPress hosting service “WPEngine”
  • Training: Wrote 7 pages of documentation for client's website administration
